FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

General Questions About Bees

Bees are generally non-aggressive and only sting when provoked. We work with managed colonies that are carefully selected and handled to reduce aggressive behavior. Our team is trained to safely work with bees in urban and rural environments.

Bees are vital pollinators. Over 75% of food crops depend on pollination. Without bees, food security and biodiversity would be severely threatened, especially in South Africa’s agricultural sector.

Honey bees are hairy, docile, and essential for pollination and honey production. Wasps are sleeker, more aggressive, and do not produce honey. We only work with and relocate honey bees.
